Denmark

is a peninsula bordered by the North Sea to the west and the Baltic Sea to the east. It consists of the Jutland Peninsula and numerous islands, the largest of which are Zealand and Funen with Copenhagen as the capital and largest city, known for its vibrant culture, historic architecture, and bicycle-friendly environment.

Our roundtrip during April 2023 by car took us a good 2 weeks from Flensburg, Germany to Aarhus, Aalborg, Skagen further by ferry to Gothenburg, Sweden, south to Malmoe and via the Oresund bridge to Copenhagen and back.

Special places within :

“Freetown” Christina is an international colorful community of about 100 residents that acts independently, a bohemian haven on the outskirts of Copenhagen. It acts as its own sovereign states and is independent from Danish government and law. It is here represented by some colorful painted houses.

Den Gamle By: Old houses which have been moved over the last 100 years from different places in Denmark make this open air town museum located in Aarhus.
