Nazaré - Fátima Peniche - Óbidos

Nazaré is a picturesque coastal town in the Leiria District of central Portugal, known for its stunning beaches and record-breaking waves that attract surfers from around the world. Praia do Norte is the home to some of the biggest waves in the world. Due to an underwater canyon, waves can reach up to 100 feet (30 meters). During our stay they reached 7.5 meters at the highest. Forte de São Miguel Arcanjo the historic fortress with a lighthouse offers a breathtaking view of the ocean. Sitio da Nazaré is the clifftop neighborhood with stunning views of the Atlantic, accessible by a funicular.

Fátima is a city in central Portugal, a major pilgrimage site for Catholics worldwide. It gained prominence following the reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary to three shepherd children in 1917. The Sanctuary of Our Lady complex includes the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, the Chapel of the Apparitions, and the newer Basilica of the Holy Trinity.

Peniche is a coastal city in central Portugal of natural beauty and an exceptional surfing spot. 90 kilometers northwest of Lisbon, it has evolved from a traditional fishing hub into a sought-after destination for both surfers and tourists. Supertubos Beach acclaimed for its powerful, tubular waves, often referred to as the "European Pipeline", didn’t show its best. Dating back to the 16th century, the Peniche Fortress has served various roles, including as a political prison during Portugal's Estado Novo regime. Cabo Carvoeiro offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Berlengas Islands. Peniche remains one of Portugal's significant traditional fishing ports

Óbidos is a picturesque medieval town in central Portugal, renowned for its well-preserved architecture and rich history. Encircled by fortified walls, the town offers a glimpse into Portugal's past with its cobbled streets, whitewashed houses, and historic Landmarks. Óbidos Castle dates to the 12th century.  The Church of Santa Maria was the site of the wedding between King Afonso V and Princess Isabella in 1441, reflecting its significance in Portuguese history.
