A Summer in Florida

The humid air hangs heavy with moisture. Towering palm trees sway gently in the coastal breeze. Mangroves stretch along the coastal waters.

Inland, swamps and wetlands come alive. Afternoon thunderstorms roll in daily, often without warning, crashing through the sky with booming thunder and flashing lightning, drenching the landscape in torrential rain before giving way to steaming heat once again.

Butterflies flit between brightly colored hibiscus blooms, dragonflies skim the surface of still ponds, and frogs croak from hidden spots in the thick vegetation. Turtles sunbathe on rocks near freshwater springs, while dolphins play in the warm, shallow waters off the Gulf and Atlantic coasts. S

Florida in summer is a place of wild contrasts, where nature's vitality, the heat, and the ever-present humidity pulse in harmony, creating a unique and dynamic ecosystem that is at once serene and untamed.
